The Firetet is a quintet that consist of renowned Chicago musicians: Roy McGrath (Tenor Sax), Julius Tucker (Piano), Ben Dillinger (Bass), Greg Essig (Drums), and Constantine Alexander on Trumpet and Flugelhorn.
The original music is similar to hard bop and contemporary jazz, influenced by Art Blakey, Sean Jones and Nicholas Payton.
Debut album released in 2023.
