Constantine Alexander stands as a premier figure in the Chicago jazz scene. His artistry comes from a cultural resonance rooted in his Chicago upbringing and Greek heritage. As a highly sought-after professional trumpet artist, Constantine has built an illustrious career defined by high profile performances and academic excellence. He honed his craft at the prestigious Lincoln Park High School before earning a Bachelor of Music from Roosevelt University and a Master of Music in Jazz Studies from DePaul University.

His reputation as a world-class performer is cemented by an impressive roster of collaborations with jazz royalty, including Sean Jones, Ernie Watts, Randy Brecker, Brian Lynch, Terell Stafford, Dennis Mackrel, and Paquito D’Rivera. Whether he is performing at intimate jazz clubs, festival stages, theaters or large-scale arenas, Constantine’s versatility makes him a standout artist. Beyond jazz, his creative reach extends to groundbreaking collaborations with Snarky Puppy drummer Robert “Sput” Searight II and renowned Cellist Yo-Yo Ma.

Constantine is a cornerstone of the Chicago music scene, actively contributing to acclaimed groups such as Roy McGrath’s Menjunje and Marques Carroll’s Trumpet Summit. His talent was recognized when he was named the 2018 Luminarts Jazz Competition winner and Fellow. Today, he carries his professional expertise into the sports and entertainment sphere as the current trumpet player for the Chicago Blackhawks.

In addition to his active performance schedule, Constantine serves as a dedicated educator, holding the position of Jazz Trumpet Professor at Roosevelt University, where he also directs the Large Jazz Ensemble.
